Uripan XR®
Oxybutynin Hydrochloride
10 mg Extended Release Tablets

Composition :

Uripan XRe(oxybutynin Hydrochloride) is an antispasmodic and
anticholinergic agent. Each Uripan XR· Extended Release Tablet
contains 10 mg of oxybutynin USP, formulated as a once-a-day
controlled – release tablet for oral administration.

Properties :

Uripan XRe (Oxybutynin) has pharmacological properties similar to
some anticholinergic, antispasmodic, local anesthetic and antihistaminic compounds. It exerts anti muscarinic effect significantly less than that of atropine but its antispasmodic activity is considerably greater than atropine, producing an effect on the detrusor muscle 4 to 10 times that of atropine.
Unlike papaverine it does not appear to affect the smooth muscles of
the blood vessels. It is believed that Uripan XR· suppresses the urge
to void by increasing the bladder capacity secondary to the relaxation of the bladder smooth muscles and a corresponding reduction in the number of contractions ofthe detrusor muscles.

Indications :

Uripan XR is indicated for the relief of symptoms of the bladder
instability associated with voiding in patients with neurogenic bladder
I.e. : urgency, frequency, leakage, incontinence and dysuria
